Meet Frank Silva

Frank is the Founder and Managing Partner of Silva Law Firm, P.A.

Immediately following law school, Frank was hired by Janet Reno as an Assistant State Attorney in the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office, where he began his professional career trying jury trials right out of law school while being mentored by some of the finest trial lawyers and judges in Florida. Frank’s responsibilities included prosecuting every aspect of criminal cases from initial investigations through trial by jury in both misdemeanor and felony cases.

Frank then entered private practice, where he gained extensive experience handling medical liability, toxic tort, and construction defect litigation. During the 16 years immediately before establishing Silva Law Firm, Frank was in-house General Counsel for a major South Florida real estate developer, where he represented his Clients’ best interests in all aspects related to the purchase, development, lease and/or sale of large-scale commercial and residential properties.

Before his 16 years as in-house General Counsel, Frank was a Litigation Shareholder in a prominent “Big Law” firm where he represented Clients in complex litigation and business transactions. This veteran experience allows Silva Law Firm to apply an efficient and effective staffing model for our Clients’ matters as we work toward a positive outcome.

Frank is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court and County Court Mediator with extensive experience in achieving amicable resolution of disputes. However, whenever it becomes necessary, Frank proceeds with litigation and trial of disputes.

Frank is very comfortable in a courtroom and his work during the past 30 years included representing his Clients as they navigated through complex litigation, the Great Recession, the COVID Pandemic, and other challenges along the way toward achieving favorable outcomes. Frank’s extensive experience and desire to help others is what led him to establish his own firm in the heart of Coral Gables.

Frank has been a frequent guest lecturer in his areas of practice and has worked as an adjunct professor on Construction Law and Torts Law at the Florida International University Legal Studies Institute. He is fluent in Spanish.

In his spare time, Frank enjoys cycling and travelling to new places.
